Curious about understanding the concept but never knew how to get started? KPMG is offering a workshop for refugees to help begin your agile journey. The workshop will take place on the 13th of April, from 10.00-13.00. The course is an introduction to the agile mindset and Scrum, where the course developed by the University of Minnesota will be used (free of charge) After finishing you will receive the professional certificate to boost your CV. As part of this course, KPMG will share their experience of working at KPMG, giving you a chance to learn how agile skills apply in their work. Interested in taking part?
About the workshop
KPMG organizes this program in which you will receive an introduction to the Scrum methodology. The scope of this Scrum Crash Course is to onboard you into the agile mindset and the Scrum methodology. The session will start with discussing the agile values and principles, and understanding the agile mindset. Next, it will cover the aspects of the scrum team, events and artifacts. As a preparation, please read through the Scrum Guide (https://scrumguides.org/scrum-guide.html). The introduction is based on the professional Agile Software Development course developed by the University of Minnesota (free of charge). This course will give you the tools and knowledge to continue the course by yourself. KPMG will also host follow up sessions, to give you a chance to ask your questions and support you along your agile journey. KPMG professionals will share their experiences of working with agile in business.
The classes will be given in English. The course is entry to intermediate level, where basic concepts will be explained, and in order to complete the Coursera course some extra attention is required.
About the trainer
My name is Edina Valkai, and I have been working with Scrum for more than 7 years now. Over the past years I worked as a Java software developer as well as a product owner in a cross-functional distributed Scrum team. In the recent years, I focused on delivering several agile training such as the scrum master, Scrum and Scaled Agile Framework training.
