After a successful first edition, EY, KPMG, Rabobank and the Refugee Talent Hub are working together to organize a second edition of the Finance Academy, a 12-weeks training program for Financial talents with a refugee background. About the Finance Academy

This 12 weeks part-time program is a training on several useful financial subjects: Auditing, Banking and Consulting. Every three weeks, one of the participating companies will host trainings on an interesting finance related subject (every Thursday afternoon). The Finance Academy consists of both hard skills and soft skills trainings. Besides trainings, you will receive individual coaching during the program from a professional of one of the participating partners.

At the end of this program we will organize a Meet&Greet for all candidates where you get the chance to meet several professionals and recruiters working at companies in the financial sector, including the participating partners. The goal? Expanding your network in the Dutch Financial sector.

At the end of the program, you will also receive a certificate of participation provided by EY, KPMG, Rabobank and Refugee Talent Hub. Important to know: This program will be held in English. So speaking English proficiently is a must.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for motivated talents who:

  • Hold a bachelor’s or master’s in - or closely related to - finance

  • Are proficient in English (Level B1)

  • Are passion for finance

  • Preferably have working experience in finance or finance-related businesses

  • Are eager to learn.

  • Above all, talents that have a strong internal motivation is the key to success in this program.

  • Are available to attend all the obligated events (for dates, see below).

Note:

  • The training is based on retaining of the benefits (uitkering)

  • The program as well as the learning materials are in English

  • The travel costs are not covered

Important data

If you apply, we expect you to attend ALL events below. Please make sure you are available on all these dates. The courses will take place on Thursdays afternoon from 13:00-17:00 on the following dates:

  • Kick-off: Thursday 2 September, 15.00-17.00 (online or live) (During the festive kick-off, you will be told who you are linked to and the goals of the Academy will be discussed).

  • Check-in mentees: Wednesday 13 October, 12.00-13.00 (online or live). This is intended to share experiences and questions with your peers/ fellow candidates under the guidance of Refugee Talent Hub.

  • Intercultural training (Akteos): Thursday 21 October, 13.00-17.00 (online or live) -Recruitment + Pitches: Thursday 18 November, 10.00-17.00 (live)

  • Closing event + Meet and Greet: Thursday 25 November, 15.00-17.30 (live)

Selection and process

For this program a selection will take place. There are limited spots available. A maximum total of 15 talents will be selected to attend the Finance Academy. Selected candidates will participate in an information session where they will get more in-depth information about the program. This will take place on Thursday 12th of august 12.00-13.00.
