About the mentor program

In the mentor program, a G-star professional will be matched to you for a period of 5 months. During this period, the professional functions as your mentor and coach. He/she gives you tips and tricks for finding a job in The Netherlands and working at the Dutch labor market/ the fashion retail industry. You can for example receive help on your resume, your LinkedIn profile, and your mentor will share his/her professional network with you.

What do we expect from you

  • You have a refugee background

  • You speak English language

  • You have an open, proactive attitude, are eager to learn and want to share information with your mentor

  • You are motivated to participate, and you make time for the obligated activities (kickoff, check-ins, closing event). In addition, you make time for an (online) appointment with your mentor once a week, or once in two weeks

  • You have a computer (with camera) and internet, this is necessary for the video calls and online activities

If you have been selected, we expect you to be present on the following activities:

  • Wednesday 1st of June: Kick-off (online or live)

  • Wednesday 13th of July: First check in (online or live)

  • Wednesday 24th of August: Second check-in (online or live)

  • Wednesday 26th of October: Closing event (hopefully live)
