Open Day: TomTom and The Refugee Talent Hub

What will I be doing at the Open Day?

After an introduction to TomTom, you will meet TomTom managers and network with them.

Some experience we’re looking for depending on your profile:

**For Java engineer: **

You need experience with:

• Distributed systems

• Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure)

• Continuous Deployment (Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes, Jenkins Pipelines)

• System Monitoring (Kibana, Grafana)

• Test automation

• Linux environment and script languages (Python, Bash)

**For Cloud engineer: **

You need familiarity with:

• Java, BDD, Cucumber, JMeter, Junit, Spring, Spring Unit Test, Spring Boot, Maven, Jenkins, and databases such as MySQL and Postgres

• Experience in high load, highly available systems in the public cloud such as AWS, GCP or Azure

For Android engineer:

You need experience with:

• Hands-on programming using Kotlin and Java

• Solid knowledge of Android platform and architecture components

• Strong communication skills across functions (UX, Product Management, Operations)

**For C++ engineer: **

You need experience with:

• Strong knowledge of C++ programming, automated testing, CI techniques and tools

**For Data engineer: **

You need experience with:

• Building and optimizing ‘big data’ pipelines, architectures, and data sets

• Loading, manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets

• Stream processing, and highly scalable ‘big data’ stores

• Advanced knowledge of query languages like SQL and working familiarity with a variety of databases

• Non-relational & relational databases like Postgres, RedShift, Data Explorer

• Data streaming platforms such as Kafka or Azure Event Hubs and experience with programming
