On the Webinar
In this webinar we’ll go over the past and the future of software development technologies. We’ll start in the past and show you how software development has evolved in several generations of “Imperative Programming” in which you tell the computer what to do in what order and under which conditions:
• 1st generation: statements entered as zeros and ones
• 2nd generation: statements entered as simple keywords
• 3rd generation: statements with more complex logic entered as structured text
• 4th generation: statements entered as visual models of screens, data structures and process flows
• 5th (current) generation: declarations of results a computer process should achieve entered as structured text.
The main part of this session will be about the future of software development technologies, in which we will show you a new generation of declarative programming we’ve been working on. In this generation you declare/specify the result of a business process. No matter if this process is performed by a computer and/or a human or some other external actor. This new software development tool will then transform this to a fully operational business process including all its underlying computer- or human process-steps. During this session we also hope to give you a live demo of how this tool works thus giving you a sneak peek on the future of software development.
Hope to see you there. The language during the event is English. In case you have signed up, we will let you know in advance how to join the teams meeting. The deadline for subscription is September 10, so please sign up now!
