EY women mentor program

Introduction

EY and the Refugee Talent Hub are organizing a mentor program for women by women. For this program we are looking for talented women with a refugee background. In this program, you will be matched with a professional (women) from EY, from whom you will receive guidance to boost your professional development. There is limited space, so register quickly for the EY mentor program for women by women!

Women still remain underrepresented in the Dutch labour market. About half of the women in the Netherlands are not financially independent. That percentage is even higher for women with a refugee background. A large number of these women would like to work, but sometimes it is not easy to make this possible. That is why EY is offering a mentor program for talented women with a refugee background.

About the Women Mentor program

As a mentee, you will be supported by a professional from EY in multiple ways, including:

  • Setting career goals, formulating concrete next steps for during the mentor program;

  • Creating/improving your CV and receive guidance on how to create a professional LinkedIn page to present yourself better on the Dutch Labor Market;

  • Preparing for possible job interviews by practicing interview questions, and discussing how to follow-up;

  • Enhance networking skills, and learn how to identify networking opportunities to grow your network.

  • Your mentor at EY will give you one-on-one guidance and support you.

What do we expect from you?

  • You are a woman with a refugee background;

  • You would like to increase your chances on the labor market;

  • You have an open, proactive attitude and eager to learn;

  • Must: Your Dutch or English is at a sufficient level to participate in this mentor program;

  • Your CV is in our database;

  • You are enthusiastic and motivated to get the most out of the mentor program;

  • You make time for (online) appointments with your mentor;

  • You have access to a computer (with camera) and internet, which is necessary for video calls.

  • Kick-off: June 9, 15:00 – 17:00

  • Check-in: September 21, 13:00 – 14:00

  • Closing Event: October 21, 15:00 – 17:00
