Introduction:

Are you interested in improving your data, digital, analytical, and presentation skills? Do you want to work faster and smarter with essential Microsoft tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams? Or are you interested in advanced tools such as VBA, PowerBi, or SQL? Microlearning is the newest trend in the field of self-study. Therefore, Refugee Talent Hub and 5miles are organizing another online course for people with refugee backgrounds! Starting on March 4th, you will get the opportunity to learn relevant skills based on real-life business cases- in just 5 minutes a day. The course lasts 3 months, and at the end, you will receive a professional certificate to boost your CV.

There will be a kick-off session at the beginning, and a follow-up session during the course to support your learning journey and answer questions along the way. On June 10th, there will be a festive closing session during which those who finish the course successfully, will receive their well-deserved certificate. All the sessions will be held online and attendance is mandatory for all the participants. As part of this course, 5miles team members will share their experience of working at 5miles, giving you a chance to learn how they apply data & digital skills in their work. 5miles organizes this online course to give you the chance to improve your digital skills in an inspiring way. You can learn something new every day through the unique microlearning methodology in only 5 minutes. This enables you to work faster and smarter with essential tools. The training automatically adapts to your level, whether you are a beginner or already an advanced user. 5miles will also host the follow-up sessions, to give you a chance to ask questions and to support you through your learning journey. Also, you will have access to their online support team. The online course is available in English and Dutch, some course subjects are also available in French and German. The 5miles learning tool automatically adapts to your level and is applicable for everyone: beginners to advanced users.

What we ask from you:

  • You are a self-starter: you love to learn by doing things yourself and take the responsibility to actually do so

  • In the possession of a computer and good wifi

  • Moderate/ advanced level of Business English (B1)

  • Availability to attend the three mandatory online sessions

The course contains 3 mandatory online sessions:

A kick-off session at the beginning of the program (March 4, 14:00-15:00),

The check-in session (April 22, 14:00-15:00),

And the closing event (June 10, 14:00-15:00).
