About Achmea

Achmea is one of the biggest financial services companies and the largest insurance company in the Netherlands, with over 13.000 employees working at several locations in the Netherlands (Zeist, Leiden, Amsterdam, Apeldoorn, De Meern, Zwolle, Leeuwarden, Tilburg en Leusden). Achmea was founded over two hundred years ago with the conviction that we are stronger together than alone. And still today we believe in ‘The Sum of Us’.

About the mentorprogram

Selected candidates are matched to a data professional from Achmea, who functions as a mentor and coach during the 6-months program. During the program you and your mentor work together to increase your chances on the labor market. The mentors share their knowledge, skills and professional network. In addition, your mentor can give you personal advice, and you can contact your mentor with questions about everything that has to do with working in the Netherlands and the data field. At the same time, the mentor can of course also learn a lot from you.

What do we expect from you?

  • You have a status or a W document.

  • You speak Dutch or English (the plenary events will probably take place in English)

  • You have a relevant HBO/WO background (in data science, data analytics, big data, Math, econometries, artificial intelligence of Physics)

  • You have an open, proactive attitude, are eager to learn and want to share information with your mentor.

  • You are motivated to participate, and you make time for the obligated activities (kickoff, check-in, Closing event). In addition, you make time for an (online) appointment with your mentor once a week.

  • You have a computer (with camera) and internet, this is necessary for the video calls and online activities.
