KPMG Coding Course 2023/2024

Are you interested in learning a new skill? Curious about coding but never knew how to get started? KPMG will again offer workshops for refugees to help begin your coding journey!

The course

You will receive an introduction to the programming language – Python. The introduction is based on the professional python programming course developed by the university of Michigan (free of charge). The course provides an introduction to the professional python programming course after which you will have the tools and knowledge to continue the programming course by yourself (on the coursera platform). When you have finalized the course, you will receive a professional certificate to boost your CV.

KPMG will host these sessions, to give you a chance to ask your questions and support you along your coding journey. KPMG professionals are able to share their experiences of working with python in business.

The classes will be hosted online and will be given in English. The course is an entry level programming course and therefore most applicable for people with little to no experience in programming. Only your curiosity and commitment is required!

After you’ve successfully completed three coding classes, you can participate in a soft skill session at KPMG hosted by recruiters and business professionals. This session will take place on Wednesday March 6, 2024. During that session KPMG recruiters will tell you more about how to prepare yourselves for entering the Dutch labour market in general. In addition you can meet KPMG business consultants that are working in various business domains that can provide insights in their work. Additionally, there is a chance to ask for advice on your individual questions.

You:

  • Are curious to learn more about programming;

  • Are committed to be present three weeks in a row;

  • Have a good knowledge of the English language;

  • Have a laptop which you can use

When:

After your application, you will receive a Google Form. In this form we will ask you some questions regarding your experience to assess if this course is suitable for you. If so, you can choose one of the following timeblocks:

  • 6, 13 and 20 December 2023;

  • 3, 10 and 17 January 2024; or

  • 7, 14 and 21 February 2024;

The soft skill session will take place on Wednesday 6 March 2024 (TBD) at the KPMG office in Amstelveen. Travel expenses will be covered.
