TwynstraGudde Mentoring program - from April 2024

After a previously successful process in 2023, Refugee Talent Hub and TwynstraGudde will start a new mentoring process from April 5, 2024 for a period of three months. During this mentor program you will be linked to an advisor/consultant from TwynstraGudde, who will be your mentor for three months. During this period, you and your mentor work together to increase your chances on the labor market.

About TwynstraGudde

TwynstraGudde mainly advises government on many of the major and urgent themes of our time. Think of safety, diversity, mobility, digitalization, sustainability, energy, finance and health. TwynstraGudde wants to make a direct impact on (future) social and economic developments. Diversity and inclusion are important themes within TwynstraGudde, in all kinds of areas. TwynstraGudde strives to ensure that everyone can be themselves, feel at home and have equal opportunities within the company.

About the mentoring process

During this mentor program you will be paired with a professional from TwynstraGudde, who will be your mentor for three months. During this period, you and your mentor work together to increase your chances on the labor market. Your mentor will share his/her knowledge, skills and professional network with you. In addition, your mentor can give you personal advice and you can ask questions about working in the Netherlands and everything related to it. The mentor would like to share experience and knowledge with you. At the same time, the mentor can of course also learn a lot from you. Equality and reciprocity are important values ​​here. In addition to guidance towards work, the personal meetings provide valuable insights into each other's cultures, perspectives and values.

There are also three physical meetings and two online check-ins in which you learn more about each other, work in general and TwynstraGudde in particular.

Important dates (mandatory attendance)

  • Live kick-off : Friday April 5, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM in Amsterdam;

  • First mentee check-in : Friday April 26, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM (online);

  • Between event : Friday, May 17, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM (at TwynstraGudde head office, in Amersfoort);

  • Second mentee check-in : Thursday, June 13, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM (online);

  • Live closing event : Friday, July 5, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (at TwynstraGudde head office, in Amersfoort);

Travel expenses will be reimbursed for the plenary activities (kick-off, between event and closing event) .

What do we expect from you?

  • You have a refugee background - a status or a W document;
  • You master Dutch at at least B1 level - You can demonstrate this;
  • You are motivated to participate. You make time to attend the mandatory activities. In addition, you make time for an appointment with your mentor at least twice a month;
  • You have an open, proactive attitude, are eager to learn and want to share information with your mentor;
  • You have a computer (with camera) and internet, this is sometimes necessary for video calls;
